Our nation’s military is sworn to serve only one flag, but there is another symbol that many Americans are willing to argue over until the end of the time: the Confederate Flag.

Since the tragic shooting at a historically black church in Charleston, many are questioning whether the Confederate Flag still has a place on government flag poles. Thousands have signed a petition to remove the flag from South Carolina capitol, an effort supported by many state policymakers.

This is among the most volatile debates raging amongst Americans today, and literally everyone has an opinion about it. From the perspective of an active service member, veteran or member of the larger military community, what should be done with the Confederate Flag?
