Last month we relayed the report of the United States’ claim that Iran launched unguided rockets a mere 1,500 yards from their super aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (and a U.S. destroyer and a French frigate) while its sailed through the Straight of Hormuz right before Christmas.

According to sources at the time, the Iranians were said to have warned the U.S. of the live-fire drill approximately 20 minutes prior them launching.

The volatile Middle Eastern superpower then changed their story, this time denying that they’d fire anything at all. Here’s precisely what they said:

“The Guard’s Navy had no drills in the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz and didn’t fire missiles or rockets during the past week and the time claimed by the Americans.”

Guess who’s full of crap?

That’s right, it’s the country that begins with an “I” and ends in an “N”.

Over the weekend the U.S. Navy released the following footage of a portion of Iran’s naval fleet performing a live-fire exercise in the clear vicinity of U.S. warships:
