More than 1,000 companies and organizations (1,609 to be exact) have made a promise to hiring military veterans over the next few years.

That’s more than a million positions out there waiting to be filled to be filled … with vets.

It’s part of a program launched by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to get larger businesses to make public commitments to hiring.

The list includes names like Walmart, Home Depot, UPS, Wells Fargo, AT&T, Enterprise, Xerox, Comcast/NBC Universal, AutoZone, Coca-Cola and many more.
