This is Owen Shone. He was a Canadian war veteran and at the time this photograph was taken in 1969 (in front of the Department of Veterans Affairs in Toronto) he was picketing in the name of fair and equitable benefits for the courageous veterans of Canada’s military.

Take a closer look at Mr. Stone’s sign. Read it. He knew what he was talking about.
