Along with these ‘facts’, Chuck Norris has a long list of impressive accolades. World-renowned marital artist. Movie star. Air Force veteran. Honorary Marine. Legend.

Norris is widely known for his support of the military and has recently joined the Marine Corps’ campaign, “Protect What You’ve Earned” which serves to remind Marines to “keep their honor clean.”

Shared by the USMC’s twitter, Chuck Norris appeared in a video message to Marines where he emphasized his respect for service members amid references to his legendary roundhouse-kicking abilities.

“A few years ago your commandant bestowed on me the title ‘honorary Marine,” Norris said in the video. “I gotta tell you, I’ve always been proud of that.”

The “Protect What You’ve Earned” campaign started in 2015 and aims to promote positive decision-making and accountability for all Marines and Sailors. It hopes to further instill a mindset that being a Marine is much more than a title, but a way of acting that respects yourself, your peers, and your country.

The video only lasts for 47 seconds but thats long enough to capture the legendary American icon (who is 77, by the way) and how he uses his platform to support the military.

Whether you like Chuck Norris because of his work with the armed forces or you are just a die-hard Walked Texas Ranger fan, it’s not too hard to get behind him and the Marine Corps for a campaign like this one.
