The car in the photo above is a Bentley. It’s an extremely expensive car. As in the cheapest one starts at about $180,000 a pop.

To most people, that’s a major, big kahuna investment.

But, to a Saudi prince? It’s nothing but a large, metallic mobile care basket with a fancy hood ornament.

Because just the other day Saudi prince Al-Waleed bin Talal promised every single Saudi fighter pilot bombing Houthi rebels in Yemen (there’s roughly 100 of them) one of these automobiles. As a gift.

That’s right.

And there’s a tweet (now deleted however) to prove it:

saudi prince bentleys

Here’s the English translation:

I congratulate your success of Operation Decisive Storm and the start of Operation Restore Hope. In appreciation of the 100 Saudi pilots which carried this out I will be gifting them 100 Bentley cars.

While he eventually killed the social media post from his feed, apparently, this offer is absolutely realistic for this “man of wealth and taste”.

Not only is he a large shareholder in News Corporation (Rupert Murdoch’s mega media kingdom which owns Fox News — among many other companies) but as visual proof of his immense fortune, here’s a photo of his private plane, a Boeing 747 (see if you can spot the GOLDEN throne):

One question, however, still remains: does the offer still stand?

Stay tuned.
