Just when you think you’ve seen the most heinously absurd stolen valor video, along comes one like this from Houston, Texas, where a phony “sniper” — a bespectacled man wearing a sloppy uniform — tries to recruit an actual United States military veteran.

Omar Morales, the vet who caught this deplorable act of fakery on camera and handed it off to the watchdog website for this kind of stuff — Guardian of Valor — ends up giving the bogus vet a made-up phone number when the fraud promises him that he’ll pass along his information to “his NCO” and “call him”.

Perhaps the most laughable part of the clip comes when the poser offers up his commentary on being in the military — for ten years!:

“It’s a good job, it has its benefits.”
