This state-of-the-art Gatling-styled “Minigun” — the Dillon M134 — doesn’t really have anything “mini” about it. Just check out the video above.

Constructed of the titanium which makes it super lightweight, the mounted weapon can fire an astounding 50 rounds a second — or 3,000 rounds a minute. In the night, they beam out into the darkened sky, resembling something George Lucas dreamt up rather than real life.

To put its firing rate into perspective (granted it’s not mounted, but …) an M16 — at its absolute max — can get off 950 rounds a minute. Which is impressive, but pales in comparison to the M134.

As mentioned in the video, the gun can also fire all types of ammunition. Ball, tracer, slap, armor-piercing as well as incendiary are all compatible.
