Florida Marlin baseball slugger (and overall “jacked” individual) Giancarlo Stanton did something that has only been done four other times in the 43-year history of Dodger Stadium.
He hit a baseball, off a baseball pitcher, that made it’s way out of the ballpark completely. That is, not just over the fence for a home run, no no. It left the building. Meaning that if the ball was a ticket-holder? It would’ve have gotten into its car and left for the evening, because it would’ve been in the parking lot and once you enter a ballpark and show your ticket you can’t be readmitted back in — that’s just the rules. Everyone knows that.
But anyway, the last time someone did this nearly-impossible feat was Mark McGwire back in 1999. Here are the others:
Willie Stargell: Aug 5,1969 Willie Stargell: May 8,1973 Mike Piazza: Sept 21,1997 Mark McGwire: May 22,1999 Giancarlo Stanton: May 12,2015
