For a while, we at the SITREP watched every presidential primary debate in the hopes of catching even a whiff of conversation pertaining to veterans issues and the military community. Though the first debate back in August featured a veteran-specific question thanks to the intervention of a Gold Star widow, veterans have yet to significantly feature in any debate conversation.

Candidates love to talk about ‘boots on the ground,’ but they rarely speak out about veteran suicide, homelessness, or benefits. How are we to make an informed vote if we don’t know exactly where each candidate stands on the issues most important to the military and veteran community?

Task & Purpose has provided the answer. In a single handy infographic, you can get a rough idea of which candidates have creates policy plans to solve veterans issues, which have merely mentioned veterans and which haven’t formed any opinions at all.

The infographic was created using the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of Amerca 11-point policy agenda. You can read Task & Purpose’s full data analysis here.
