michael enright unstable

Remember this (former) Hollywood actor we featured Thursday who left Tinseltown for the bright lights of Syria?

Well, according to CNN, he’s not doing too well.

Jordan Matson, a U.S.-based recruiter for Kurdish forces in the Middle East, posted a message on Facebook saying that Pirates of the Caribbean actor Michael Enright is “in danger of being killed”. He also wrote that someone needs to get him out there “before it’s too late”.

The problem? Aside from being in a dangerous war zone with little to no military training?

According to Matson, it’s that the 51-year-old Brit has become “mentally unstable”.

Yikes.

More from Boing Boing:

The recruiter says Enright is acting irresponsibly, getting himself “kicked out of four different fighting units” and “is in danger of being killed by one of many westerners and Kurds who want to bury him.” But rather than leave where he’s not wanted, Enright put a gun barrel in his mouth and “threatened to kill himself if he was sent home.”
