Introducing the Navistar SOTV-B, the clandestine “blank” pickup truck that is so regular/mundane/boring looking that it just may fool you (or rather, its enemies — hopefully) into thinking that it’s just that … and not a “up-armored, off-road capable, and electronically modular vehicle” with a four-cylinder Cummins diesel engine that can pump out 240 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque.

In other words, it encompasses both sides of the coin toss special forces troops encounter in hostile territory — drive around in a regular vehicle that doesn’t stick out but then have limited or no protection to enemy firepower OR drive around in a tank (or a vehicle that’s almost one) and have protection, but stick out like the sorest of all thumbs.

Which, in many cases, tends to lure danger to you.

The truck’s capabilities in full haven’t been disclosed by its manufacturer due to security concerns, and they haven’t officially sold any yet to any militaries. But, that’s the plan.
