A county commissioner in Tennessee thinks he’s a rebel.

According to reports from the Associated Press and the Knoxville News Sentinel, James “Buddy” Randolph (don’t you dare forget the “Buddy”) proposed a resolution  Monday to raise the Confederate flag above the Greene County courthouse right next to the American flag.

Randolph’s reasoning for bringing up such a ludicrous notion (when pretty much everyone else in America is removing it from license plates, buildings, logos, etc.) is that it “honors those Tennesseans who fought in the Civil War”.

The News Sentinel, however, dispels this baloney from the dolt, backwards Tennessee official, citing the fact that the county was “among the staunchest in East Tennessee to oppose secession, with the majority of its residents fighting in the Union Army”.

In other words: take that, Buddy.
