Thanks to the salacious Ashley Madison leak, thousands of military members looking for something extra on the side have had their most unsavory secrets exposed.

Government employees and former reality TV stars/pedophiles alike have been feeling the heat since extramarital dating site Ashley Madison’s servers were hacked and its 33 million-strong user base published online. Aside from big name users like Josh Duggar, the info has revealed that roughly ten thousand users registered for the site using .mil email addresses.

– 1,665 navy.mil addresses

– 809 usmc.mil addresses

– 250 emails linked to various aircraft carriers

– Addresses affiliated with every assault ship and destroyer in the Navy

The main site where hacktivist group “the Impact Team” originally posted the data has been taken down after Ashley Madison’s parent company issued a DMCA notice. However, curious spouses can check whether their loved ones were exposed in the leak by searching their emails here, here and here.

Take these numbers with a teeny tiny grain of salt. Ashley Madison never verified user email addresses, so there’s a slight chance your spouse is being impersonated on the site. Whether you hang on to that sliver of hope is up to you.
