In January, Japanese nationals Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa were mercilessly beheaded by ISIS. Since then, the Asian country has cultivated a collective venom for the terror group, which has pushed some of its citizens (the right-wingers) to call for a lift of strict military limitations that have existed in their constitution since World War II. Specifically “Article 9”, which says “the Japanese people forever renounce … the threat of force as a means of settling international disputes.”
