Petty Officer Bruce Rathsack spent nearly two years deployed to the Persian Gulf. Recently, the Wisconsin native came home for Christmas and surprised his mother while she was eating in a local pizza shop. 

“They told me he couldn’t come home for Christmas,” said his mother. She was so overwhelmed at the sight of her son home for the holidays that he said he was “actually concerned that she might have a heart attack.”

I am still in tears over this one. Welcome home, sailor, and Merry Christmas.
