Talk about a grand entrance!
Earlier this month, Medal of Honor recipient Kyle Carpenter and his fellow Team Fastrax members opened the Marine Corps Marathon but instead of showing up via walking, car or metro – they decided to do something more exciting and skydive into the event.
Earlier this year Cpl. Carpenter was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Obama for the heroism he displayed while literally being blown apart by a grenade during combat in Afghanistan yet trying to save a fellow Marine in the process.
Carpenter is the youngest living Medal of Honor recipient to date.
