On Veterans Day, LinkedIn launched a new hiring initiative exclusively for U.S. military veterans and service members. Through this program, veterans and service members qualify for a a free one-year account upgrade to “Premium Job Seeker,” which will allow qualifying members to highlight their profile and applications submitted through LinkedIn. Further, these job seekers can join the Veteran Mentor Network (VMN) Group, a private LinkedIn group that “provide[s] effective coaching, mentoring and advice to military Veterans.” The program’s home page also highlights manager and high-level civilian job openings for veteran candidates.
