The National Basketball Association can be a nutty sphere. Especially when coaches and players start comparing themselves to people who do things that are a thousand times more dangerous/technical/important/heroic/selfless than whatever they do.

This is from the mouth and mind of Cleveland Cavaliers’ (of the NBA) coach David Blatt, who uttered these ludicrous words Monday afternoon almost costing his team a playoff win by calling a timeout his team didn’t have Sunday evening.
Thankfully for both Blatt and the Cavs, the best player in the league is on their team, and he made a last-second shot in the corner (right in the face of Chicago Bull Jimmy Butler, mind you) that won them the game, 86-84.
Contrary to the former Russian Olympic coach Blatt, LeBron did not compare himself or anything he does to the military. Which, was smart.
Blatt? Not so much.
