Iran has taken its mockery of the American military to a new level.
During a Qom parade celebrating the 37th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran citizens on a parade float reenacted the controversial capture of ten American sailors. Citizens posing as the Americans placed their hands above their heads as they were chained together, while other actors posing as members of the Revolutionary Guard pretended to detain them.

At another rally in Tehran, Iran paramilitary forces actually put burlap sacks over their heads to dress up as American sailors.
On the same day, the Iran government broadcast footage of an American sailor crying.
This parade was only one of many that occurred throughout Iran to celebrate the day it wrestled its independence from the Shah in 1979. It has long been a tradition to chant anti-American slogans during the holiday and express their loyalty to the Ayatollah. It’s thus no surprise that they used the January incident to taunt the United States further.
