On Wednesday we reported that American college student Otto Frederick Warmbier, 21, who was in the midst of attending the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, was sentenced to 15 years hard labor in North Korea for stealing a propaganda banner that had the name of former supreme leader Kim Jong-il on it.

Shortly thereafter, the following video emerged of a shadowy figure taking something off a hallway wall on a split screen, with a straight shot of the banner in the other half. North Korean authorities say it’s Warmbier in the act.

Okay then.

They’ve also said — in the recent past too — that they can destroy the United States of America with their nuclear prowess, have concocted a hangover-free liquor, and that Kim Jong-il invented the hamburger.

So, when we say you must watch this video with a grain of salt, we should probably be saying you should watch this video with a salt mine:

In other North Korean news, they’re firing missiles into the sea again. Seems they’re a bit peeved about the sanctions both the United Nations and the United States have put in place.

The launch, while pettish, didn’t occur in a vacuum. It pissed a bunch of neighboring nations off, including two of the big boys: China and Japan. And, of course, South Korea. Who weren’t as angered as the other two, because they’re used to it. They offered some kind advice to Pyongyang, saying they should focus on bettering the lives of their citizens rather than the state of their missile program.
