This video was sent to the news outlet Reuters not long after news that Turkish forces had shot a Russian warplane out of the sky near the Syrian border for invading their airspace. According to its sources, it captures the Russian pilots of the Su-24 fighter struggling amid a mob of Syrian rebels.

This from Reuters itself:

But a Turkish government official told Reuters the pilots were believed still to be alive and that Ankara was working to secure their release from Syrian rebels.

Russia’s defense ministry said one of its Su-24 fighter jets had been downed in Syria and that, according to preliminary information, the pilots were able to eject. “For the entire duration of the flight, the aircraft was exclusively over Syrian territory,” it said.

According to one of the sources of the video, the Russian media outlet RT, if you look closely in the footage below, you can see the pilot’s face is bruised and bloodied, as he lay immobile. The rebels not only praise “Allah” above him, but audibly voice their regret for not having burned him on the spot.
