Noah Galloway, Alabama native and former U.S. Army sergeant (along with partner Sharna Burgess), and his “moves” aired for the very first time on the mega-hit TV show Dancing with the Stars Monday.

On December 19, 2005, while serving his country in Iraq,  Galloway lost his left arm above the elbow and left leg above the knee when an IED went off. He was transported to Germany for emergency medical attention and remained unconscious for five days. He was then sent to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, where he started a long journey of rehabilitation and adjustment.

After battling inner turmoil in the aftermath of such devastating and life-changing injuries, Galloway reclaimed his spirit, and is now a successful physical trainer and motivational speaker.

Oh, and as you can see, he’s also a dancer.
