Disrespect is bad enough.

This though? This was abuse.

According to Warrior Beach Retreat founder Linda Cope, a group of veterans participating in what was supposed to be a relaxing, healing getaway in Panama City, Florida last week endured torment that’s simply unfathomable for anyone to be the target of — let alone men and women who sacrificed so much for this country.

The country in which the tormenters live, work and play.

So just who are these ungrateful, ignorant delinquents?

Via Cope, they’re members of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity chapter from both the University of Florida and Emory University who were present in the same location as the former military members for a spring formal.

Sources say that they threw marshmallows on the vets’ vehicles, broke American flags affixed to property, and even urinated on Old Glory.

They also made disrespectful, derogatory remarks to the veterans’ spouses.

One veteran said the jerky, spoiled frat “bros” spit on his service dog and poured beer onto their group from the 20th floor of the lodge.

According to MyPanhandle.com, the University of Florida’s president wrote an apology letter to the Warrior Beach Retreat organization on Wednesday.

Emory University also issued a statement saying they were “appalled” by the allegations.

“My prayer is that this will make an impression on the whole university level,” said Cope. “For these men and women to realize they better appreciate the men and women that gave them the right to have a formal.”
