One of the U.S. Army’s leading men did something wrong.

Unfortunately, that’s pretty much all we know.

So far.

The commander of the 75th Ranger Regiment is being punished in the wake of allegations of misconduct while leading the U.S. Army’s elite raid force, according to the Army Times.

Colonel Christopher Vanek had his actions — as they pertained to climate, perception and judgment — informally investigated, which fell in line with Army Regulation 15-6, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Army Special Operations Command.

The commanding general of USASOC, Lt. Gen. Charles Cleveland, directed the findings.

More from the Army Times:

[Lt. Colonel Mark] Lastoria did not provide further details about what prompted the investigation, what the allegations entailed, and what action was taken by Cleveland.

However, an Army official who spoke on background to Army Times, said Vanek received a general officer letter of reprimand for his actions.

Attempts to reach Vanek for comment via email and through Army public affairs were not immediately successful.
