These Russian soldiers know that with imagination, life is your creation. And they’re not afraid to sing about during military marches.

This clip shows Russian service members singing a rousing rendition of ‘Barbie Girl’ by Aqua. The video was originally posted to Youtube in 2012, but it recently gained new life when the video went viral on social media this week.

It’s not unheard for a unit to chant or sing during marches. ‘Barbie Girl’ just isn’t their usual choice.

Here are some lyrics, for the unfamiliar:

I’m a Barbie girl, in the Barbie world
Life in plastic, it’s fantastic!
You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Imagination, life is your creation

I’m a blond bimbo girl, in a fantasy world
Dress me up, make it tight, I’m your dolly
You’re my doll, rock’n’roll, feel the glamour in pink,
Kiss me here, touch me there, hanky panky…
You can touch, you can play, if you say: “I’m always yours”

This song sent Aqua, a Danish-Norwegian pop group, hurtling to the top of the charts in 1997. While the group received worldwide praise from toe-tapping fans, it was sued by Mattel for misrepresenting the Barbie doll with lyrics like “I’m a blond bimbo girl.” The lawsuit was eventually dismissed.
