Sergeant Toby Cook filmed the following footage of members of the United States military training Latvian soldiers on how to fire a big ass gun (it’s also known in some circles as a M777 Howitzer).
The cannon, which is not to be effed with, fires 155 mm caliber projectiles that will destroy most everything it encounters should it inherit the ill fortune of encountering it. It made its debut in the War in Afghanistan and boasts a barrel length of 200 inches, manufactured in upstate New York (Watervliet Arsenal).
It requires seven people to operate it effectively as it weighs about 9,300 pounds.
In addition to the U.S. Marines and Army, it’s used by the Australian Army, the Canadian Army and the Saudi Arabian Army.
