Syria wishes it was the world’s pincushion. Instead of being what its really is.
Which is currently the world’s proving ground … and it’s only getting worse.
A veritable Pu Pu platter of militarized nations are blowing the country to pieces, either to rid the globe of the violent insects that are ISIS (the Islamic State, who call the city of Raqqa) or to keep Syrian “President” Bashar al-Assad in power, by pulverizing his opposition, Syrian rebels, with explosions.
The latter is most likely being exhibited here (in the following video), as it’s a Russian submarine who’s doing the launching and its Putin and his administration who reluctantly claim Assad as their puppet boy.
According to Foxtrot Alpha, the sub is a Kilo Class diesel electric Rostov-on-Don (B-237) and the missiles are “most likely” 3M-14 Klub-S/Kalibr land attack versions (very similar to the U.S.-made BGM-109 Tomahawks).
Each one has a range of about 1,200 miles and carries a 1,000 pound warhead.
Russian defense officials claim that the missiles hit targets near Raqqa, but that’s clearly up for debate, as many military experts questions the effectiveness of attacks like this, with some of them claiming that they’re a complete waste period.
