Nothing quite represents Germany more as a culture than golden brown beer sloshing in a glass stein. When German military engineers had to test our the weapon stabilization system on their new tank, they knew beer was the only way to go.

In this video, a beer stein full to the brim with frothy German deliciousness was attached to the nose of the tank barrel. Engineers piloting the tank swung the entire barrel to and fro in an attempt to spill the beer, but couldn’t spill a single drop thanks to their stabilization system.

As many commenters pointed out on YouTube, the name of the game wasn’t to prevent the stein from falling off the tank barrel. Instead, the point was to prevent the beer itself from spilling out of the mug. In that respect, these German military engineers succeeded.

Now that’s what we call science at its finest.
