One of his sons attends a Catholic high school. Two of his daughters attend another Catholic high school. A daughter goes to Texas A&M, in College Station, Texas. Three other of his kids are in middle school.

To United States Air Force Tech Sergeant Clark Medina, it didn’t matter that his family was scattered in various schoolhouses in and around his hometown — he was going to see each and every one, in one day, and shock the living joy out of them in the process.

Why the mirthful startling, one might ask?

Because … he just came back from a long deployment overseas. And he was going to do the surprise thing big, thanks of course to his wife Christa, who planned it all.

“I just really wanted to make it special for my husband,” she said.

“I’ve been gone for six months to Kuwait, and I’m here to surprise my daughters,” the airman said.

“They’ve made a lot of sacrifices for me to be in this position, so I’m glad. I’m so proud.”
