The song: “Sea Cruise” — written by Huey “Piano” Smith and His Clowns back in the 1950s, and subsequently covered by a number of recording artists including Herman’s Hermits, John Fogerty, Dion and even The Beach Boys.

The branch shown in the music video: the United States Coast Guard, and some dancing, singing kids.

The origin and/or purpose of the video? We’re not entirely sure. Was this supposed to be a recruitment musical? Or was it used for a commercial spot at some point (we’re guessing either in the 1980s or the 1990s). At this point, it’s unclear.
