This is disgraceful.

The man in the following video is Ron Kovic, a United States military veteran (former Marine sergeant) who was wounded and paralyzed while fighting in the Vietnam War. He wrote the bestselling autobiographical book “Born on the Fourth of July”, which was later made into an award-winning Hollywood film by Oliver Stone with Tom Cruise playing Kovic.

So yeah, everything the man in the video says is true, which was taken at a rally recently, but for some reason a YouTuber took the clip, reposted it, and labeled it “STOLEN VALOR fake vietnam vet gets called out!!”. They also wrote this offensive caption:

This stolen valor spook gets called out for what he really is. He claims to have earned 2 purple hearts and the iron cross in Vietnam. A bystander sees through this fuck-head’s facade and begins to record him. (If you watch closely, this lump of shit even gets up out of his wheeltard chair and walks away at the end!! Wtf? Miracle? No…. I think it’s a common case of STOLEN VALOR!!)

Yeah, this is very, very messed up. Sorry Ron. And thank you for your service.
