U.S. Marine veteran Chris Van Etten is the human embodiment of perseverance. When he lost his legs and a good friend in an explosion while serving in Afghanistan, Van Etten couldn’t sit still. He gritted his teeth and pushed forward, and he never looked back.
Today, Van Etten is one of the three faces of Jockey’s new “Show ‘Em What’s Underneath” social media campaign. Alongside a firefighter celebrating courage and a new dad exemplifying family, Van Etten is showing America the meaning of perseverance by baring it all in his Jockeys.
In a Jockey press release, Van Etten described what the campaign means to him.
“I’m truly honored and humbled to be chosen by Jockey and featured in the Show ‘Em What’s Underneath campaign,” said Chris Van Etten. “Jockey is an iconic American brand built on hard work, authenticity and quality which aligns with my core values, and for them to give me the platform to tell my story and perhaps inspire others to take life’s challenges head on, it’s a tremendous opportunity. The legacy I want to leave behind is someone who spent time trying to help others better their own lives.”
In addition to leading the #ShowEm campaign, Van Etten is also advertising Jockey’s 10 percent military discount on all of its products.
