Only the military community can gather 1,000 people on 750 motorcycles to raise money for a vital cause.
The annual Injured Warrior Appreciation Run is a fundraising effort sponsored by the Warrior Foundation. On the first Friday of every November, hundreds of bikers gather at the Camp Pendleton Hope and Care Center to burn rubber and raise money for wounded military veterans and celebrate their service.
Its inaugural run in 1987 attracted 500 participants and generated $18,000. This year, the event raised a whopping $100,000 for the cause!
