If only every “active shooter” report turned out like this.

According to the New York Daily News and United States Army officials, a shooting that was previously reported at Fort Gordon near Augusta, Georgia turned out to be just a routine, sanctioned military shooting drill — and nothing more.

More from the NYDN:

The base planned the drill in advance and gave early word to several local agencies, Columbia County Emergency Management Agency director Pam Tucker told the Daily News.

But someone in a nearby county “didn’t get the word” and reported an active shooter situation, she said.

There was never a true shooting at the base and no one is injured, she said.

Welp, now that’s a relief.
