A person of interest has been taken into custody for two shootings both Tuesday and Wednesday allegedly directed at soldiers training at Camp Shelby — according to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations.
The suspect is being described as a white male, and was driving a red pickup truck, as reported in prior posts.
This is a photograph of the arrest, snapped then posted on social media by a local newsman named Ryan Moore, of WDAM-TV in Hattiesburg:

As Moore puts it, the driver/suspect denies having fired a “shot”, that it was just his rusty old truck backfiring (which does make a similar sound). He obviously denied his right to remain silent.
