There are few locations in the world that serve as a better setting — a better “auditorium”, if you will — to see the mighty Blue Angels (the United States Navy’s flight demonstration squadron) soar and show off their wondrous nimbleness while zooming hundreds of miles an hour thousands of feet in the air than “The Second City”.

What makes it that much more incredible to witness is the fact that they’re weaving in and out of the skyline of Chicago — which obviously brings with it a degree of danger and risk — getting super close to the faces of skyscrapers in a way that’s almost eerie.

Standing on the ground, or sitting in an office peering out the window, or taking in a baseball game at Wrigley, everyone’s looking out and up like “whaaaaa?”

No, seriously. See the following footage and you’ll see why this slack-jawed expression is absolutely appropriate.
