Either the Ayotallah either just threatened the President of the United States, or he’s part of “Weird Twitter“.

Safe to say the former is probably true: he abhors America and everything it stands for because the Iranian nuclear deal finally got sealed and he realizes his country can’t play around with plutonium and uranium and those other unstable elements on the bottom of the periodic chart.

This is what he — Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Iran’s “supreme leader” — tweeted from an account that’s widely regarded as his (but not officially verified):

“US president has said he could knock out Iran’s military,” Khamenei wrote above a silhouette image of Obama pointing what’s clearly a firearm to his own mug.

The message quoted Khamenei’s July 18 speech, in which he told the Iranian people that the nuclear agreement diplomats struck earlier this month “will not change” Iran’s policies toward the U.S., according to Reuters. The religious and political leader spoke at a Tehran mosque before throngs chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel,” the outlet reported.

“We have repeatedly said we don’t negotiate with the U.S. on regional or international affairs; not even on bilateral issues,” Khamenei said in the speech. “There are some exceptions like the nuclear program that we negotiated with the Americans to serve our interests.”

Khamenei would be much better off eschewing this hateful social media behavior and instead follow Karl Welzein on Twitter, do a few ‘shups and put away a half a dozen “domestos” or more. He most likely won’t heed our advice, and this is exactly why he is such an angry man.
