You could say this father-and-daughter duo dance to the beat of their own drum.

That is, if that drum happens to be America’s national pastime: baseball.

As you’ll see in the video, at first, they start slow-dancing to Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World”. Then very abruptly the music changes to John Fogerty’s “Centerfield” the dad surprises his bride-to-be daughter with baseball gloves and a ball and asks her to take part in something more American than apple pie: a friendly game of catch.

This is what the proud (and quite creative) father had to say about his daughter in the description of the YouTube clip:

“My daughter has always found her own path.

“She played Flag football at 6. She hated wearing dresses. She wore a tuxedo to her first communion. She lettered in Soccer and Track. She then became an Engineer for the largest automaker in the world when she was 22.”
