What is this country coming to? You can’t even throw around vaguely obscene words about the president on live television anymore. Good grief.
In case you missed it, retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Ralph Peters took to Fox News to express his deep dislike for President Obama and his speech following the San Bernadino massacre. What started as a run of the mill rant fell off the deep end when Peters brazenly likened President Obama to pussycat, minus the cat.
Mr. President, we’re not afraid! We’re angry! We’re pissed off! We’re furious!” Peters said. “We want you to react. We want you to do something. You’re afraid! I mean, this guy is such a total pussy, it’s stunning! We, the American people, who he does not know in any intimate sort of manner, we want action. We want action against Islamic State.
After the Army colonel’s unscripted tirade finished, a Fox News host informed him that the p-word wasn’t allowed to be said on air, especially during a live broadcast that couldn’t be censored.
Punishment for Peters’ breach of decorum was swift. The military veteran is suspended from appearing on the network for two weeks.
Funnily enough, he wasn’t the only Fox contributor to use colorful language when discussing President Obama’s speech. Actress Stacey Dash dropped the s-bomb on a different show, and though she did try to salvage the situation, it was still broadcast on live air.
“I felt like he could give a shit, excuse me, like he could care less,” she said.
Dash has also been suspended for two weeks.
