According to the United States Small Business Administration (SBA), businesses run by military veterans employ a total of 5.8 million individuals. That’s roughly the population of Los Angeles and Houston combined.

Some of these entrepreneurial former service members attained the knowledge and skills that transformed them into successful business owners by utilizing their existing Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits — more specifically, their G.I. Bill (as well as the Veterans’ Educational Assistance Program [VEAP]).
