The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) manages the Veterans Health Administration, which is by far the largest integrated health care system in the United States. In all, the framework consists of more than 1,200 facilities, including 168 centers and 1,053 outpatient clinics — stations that span the entire country.

To find a location nearest you, use this tool here — called the “Facility Locator.” It will give the address and contact information a vet needs to either communicate with a VA employee, or get them to the physical location itself.

There are also alternatives to physically showing up to a VA facility. You can securely message your medical team, refill prescriptions, obtain your health records, apply and check on the status of education benefits (including the G.I. Bill) and file and track a disability claim or appeal all right here.
