Who do you see in the photograph below?

If you see Albert Einstein, you’re fine. You don’t need glasses or contacts or bifocals or a monocle or carry around a magnifying glass, etc. Your eyesight is in good shape.

If you see Marilyn Monroe, however, you might want to make an appointment with an optometrist. Because that’s what this optical illusion (or “aid”, really) was designed for.

Created by scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), it’s lovingly called “Marilyn Einstein” and it can test human vision. Just like that.

Are your eyes in good working order but you still long to see Joe DiMaggio’s former buxom flame? Look her up on Google Images.

Just kidding. Step back from the image, or make it smaller. When you do, Norma Jean Baker will appear.
