Every disability claim is given a rating, based on severity, on a scale of 0% to 100%, in increments of ten. Here’s every possible disability rating, from greatest to least: 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100% (this last increment denoting the most severe of disabilities).

The rating is based on evidence — either a doctor’s note or report or medical test results (information from other federal agencies may be considered as well).
