This is the grandstand of Hollywood Park Racetrack.

Or, what used to be the grandstand of the Hollywood Park Racetrack. Because as you can see in the video above — a few detonations that were carefully placed by a team of demolition experts imploded the structure and sent its bits and pieces to the ground.

Funny enough, according to Deadspin, that ground (“land”) is owned by a gentleman named Stan Kroenke. Stan is looking to build a football stadium right where the horses use to gallop for the National Football League‘s Rams, a team that currently resides in St. Louis.

Hollywood Park Racetrack first opened in 1938 thanks to the money of some prominent investors like Samuel Goldwyn, Walt Disney, Al Jolson and Jack Warner (one of the “Warner Brothers”).

Its last race was in 2013.
