While Capt. Kristen Griest and Lt. Shaye Haver made history by becoming the first ever female students to graduate from Army Ranger School, a third student was kicked back to an earlier phase. According to a report from the Washington Post, that student is almost ready to earn her own tab.

Maj. Lisa Peplinski Jaster is a 37 year-old mother of two who had been at the Ranger School since April. While Griest and Haver graduated on Aug. 21, Jaster was recycled in the second and third phases of the course. Ranger officials told the Washington Post that although remaining in the school as long as Jaster is uncommon, it happens often among male students.

An anonymous Ranger instructor told the Washington Post that Jaster was very close to graduation. “She still hasn’t completed all of the requirements,” the official said. “But what are her odds of graduating now? They’re really, really good.”

if Jaster completes the training by the next graduation date, she will have spent six grueling months in Ranger School.

Jaster graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 2000. She is an avid CrossFit athlete and performed in several weightlifting competitions before pursuing the Ranger tab.
