The National Memorial Day Parade will begin its march at 2:00 p.m. EST in Washington, DC. It’s procession will begin at the corner of 7th and Constitution avenue, and it continue on Constitution avenue to 17th street. It will also stream live on Military.com and broadcast on the national news.

The largest memorial day event in the nation, the parade will feature 1,000 active duty military personnel, 30 high school and college marching bands, dozens of WWII veterans and historical reenactors. The entire parade is organized as a human timeline of the United States’ military history, allowing onlookers to appreciate the military’s vast legacy of sacrifice and heroism.

The Americans Veterans Center created the parade in 2005, and its tenth run will commemorate the 70th anniversary of victory in WWII. In addition to military personnel, the parade will feature several special guests, including Gary Sinese and Joe Montegna, two actors recognized for their ongoing support of the entire military community. The newly crowned Miss America, Kira Kazantsev, is set to perform “God Bless America” on her parade float.
