The Walter Reed National Military Medical Center facility and campus in Bethesda, Maryland has been placed on lockdown after calls of a suspected “active shooter” were reported — according to the United States Navy and numerous other media outlets.

Montgomery County police responded to an initial report of a gunshot heard on the campus, but have yet to confirm.

According to officials there have been no confirmed gunshots or injuries.
