Former president Bill Clinton was speaking on the behalf of current presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in South Carolina when a Marine asked him about his wife’s stance on the Department of Veterans Affairs. What should have been a polite question-answer session devolved into a shouting match as both parties lost their composure.

It all started when Clinton responded to the Marine’s initial question about the VA by asking, “What do you think should be done with the VA?”

Instead of answering him, the fiery veteran switched gears to bring up Benghazi.

“The thing is, we lost four lives in Benghazi and your wife tried to cover it up,” the Marine shouted.

When the Marine continued to speak, Clinton quickly grew frustrated and lashed out. He asked, “Do you have the courage to listen to my answer? Don’t throw him out. Shut up and listen to my answer. I’ll answer it.”

Their heated argument caused security to shuffle the Marine out of the rally, but the shouting didn’t stop. Another woman initiated an exchange with Clinton, pressing him to discuss Benghazi and whether his wife lied about the scandal.

“Hillary lied over four coffins,” the woman said. “She lied and she lied to those families. So all those families are liars?” Though Clinton tried to answer her, she was also escorted from the rally.

During this exchange, other rally attendees jeered and booed both Clinton and his hecklers. The entire incident is a thrill ride from its shocking start to its explosive finish.

Luckily, everything was caught on video.

After word of Bill Clinton telling a Marine and civilian to ‘shut up’ got out, the former president doubled down on his comments in an interview with ABC News.

“I said the only thing I ask is that when you make a point you let me answer,” Clinton said. “Guess what? They were trained never to let anyone answer. So I let them make their point twice, both of them, and I tried to answer and they just kept screaming because they were afraid of the answer. We can’t be like that.”

The identities of the protesters who interrupted Clinton are unknown.

Watch the video and let us know what you think. Was Clinton wrong to become so frustrated? Or was it the protesters who were acting out of turn?
