What can you say? The guy felt strong.
“I screamed as much as I could and made myself very big,” Swede Ralph Persson told Sundsvall Tidning, a Swedish-language newspaper. “I have seen in the past how even cranes have chased bears by folding up their wings.”
According to Swedish sources, Persson was out in the woods training a puppy hunting dog when he came upon the aforementioned big animal (above) that could — if pissed — do some serious damage to both human and pup.
Instead of running away like a normal, rational person, he acted like a “persson” (him) and roared at it like he was Beowulf or some other menacing creature that he is not.
And take a look. This is no cub either. This is a sizable/formidable big-toothed, long-clawed opponent. Not exactly a lightweight.
On second and third viewing, the guy was a tad bit nasty to the furry beast. You kind of feel sorry for it after a while.
He could’ve just given it some berries and called it a day. Everyone goes home happy.
